According to Article 112 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, non-working holidays in production calendar for 2014 are:

  • Jan. 7 - Nativity;

  • March 8 - International Women's Day;
  • 1st of May - Labour Day;
  • 9th May - Victory Day;

  • November 4 - National Unity Day.

If a day off coincides with a non-working holiday, the day off is transferred to the next working day after the holiday, with the exception of weekends coinciding with non-working holidays in the period from January 1 to January 8. The Government of the Russian Federation transfers two days off from the number of days off that coincide with non-working holidays, from January 1 to January 8, to other days in the next calendar year in the manner established by part five of this article.

You should also pay attention to a pleasant feature production calendar for 2014- there are no working Saturdays and Sundays.

In accordance with production calendar for 2014 New Year holidays will last 8 days, the first working day will be January 9. In March 2014, Russians will also have three days off in a row: March 8, 9 and 10. During the May holidays, Russians will have a pleasant surprise: four days off in a row - from May 1 to May 4 inclusive; there will also be a week in May with three non-working days: May 9, 10 and 11. In November, Russians also expect four weekends in a row: from November 1 to November 4.

For the purpose of rational use by employees of weekends and non-working holidays, weekends may be transferred to other days by federal law or a regulatory legal act of the Government of the Russian Federation. In this case, the regulatory legal act of the Government of the Russian Federation on the transfer of days off to other days in the next calendar year is subject to official publication no later than a month before the start of the corresponding calendar year. The adoption of regulatory legal acts of the Government of the Russian Federation on the transfer of days off to other days during the calendar year is permitted subject to the official publication of these acts no later than two months before the calendar date of the established day off. It is worth considering that this production calendar for 2014 is preliminary.

For 2014, the estimated standard working time was established by Decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus dated September 13, 2013 No. 95 (hereinafter referred to as Resolution No. 95), according to which, with a full standard working time (40 hours per week), the estimated standard working time for 2014 will be for a 5-day work week with days off on Saturday and Sunday - 2,015 hours, for a 6-day work week with a day off on Sunday - 2,017 hours.

The published production calendar for 2014 provides the estimated working time for each month of the year with a full working time of 40 hours per week (Article 112 of the Labor Code) and with a reduced working time of 35 hours per week established for certain categories of workers (Article 113 and 114 TK), taking into account weekends: Saturday and Sunday for a 5-day work week and Sunday for a 6-day work week.

It should be noted that the religious holiday of Easter, according to Decree No. 157, both according to the calendar of the Orthodox denomination and the Catholic calendar, is not declared a non-working day, and the day of celebration always falls on Sunday. Consequently, for employees whose working hours are determined by the work schedule (shift) and the work time (shift) falls on Sunday (Easter holiday), payment for work on the specified day is made in the usual manner, i.e., as for work on a working day day. When hiring workers for whom, according to the established working hours, Easter is a day off, compensation for work on this day is made in accordance with the provisions of Article 146 of the Labor Code.

When determining the estimated standard working time, it was also taken into account that the duration of work on the working day immediately preceding a holiday is reduced by one hour. Both with a 5-day and a 6-day working week, March 7, April 28, April 30, May 8, July 2, November 6, December 24 and December 31 are working days before holidays.

According to Art. 116 of the Labor Code, the duration of workers’ working hours on the working day immediately preceding a public holiday or a holiday declared non-working by the Decree is reduced by 1 hour. Due to the fact that March 8 coincides with the first Saturday of the month, the number of holidays for a 5-day work week will be 8 days, and for a 6-day week - 9 days. In this regard, the estimated working hours for March, May, July, November with a 5-day and 6-day working week are also reduced by 1 hour, and in April and December by 2 hours.

In 2014, with a standard working time of 40 hours per week, its average monthly calculated norm for a 5-day work week is 167.9 hours, for a 6-day work week - 168.1 hours, and over the past ten years for a 5-day and For a 6-day working week, the estimated norm will be 168.9 hours.

For reference: In 2014, Easter according to the calendars of the Orthodox and Catholic denominations is April 20.

Explanations to the resolution "On the postponement of holidays in 2014"

According to the draft resolution, in order to rationally use weekends and non-working holidays by employees, it is proposed that the weekends of January 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday), coinciding with non-working holidays, be moved to May 2 and June 13, respectively.
Considering that February 23 coincides with Sunday, it is proposed to move this day off (Sunday) to November 3.
Thus, the winter holiday period will be 8 days - from January 1 to January 8, 2014. There will be a three-day rest period in March, coinciding with the celebration of International Women's Day (8 to 10 March). In May 2014, a four-day rest period is provided, coinciding with the celebration of the Spring and Labor Festival (from May 1 to May 4); a three-day rest period coinciding with the celebration of Victory Day from May 9 to 11. In June 2014 - a four-day rest period coinciding with the celebration of Russia Day (from June 12 to 15). In November 2014, there was a four-day rest period coinciding with the celebration of National Unity Day (from November 1 to 4).

The transfer of days off is proposed in order to eliminate situations of their transfer in the current order on the eve of the corresponding holidays, as well as for the purpose of rational planning of working time in organizations and taking into account the interests of Russians in creating conditions for proper rest and leisure activities not only in winter, but also in spring period.

The proposed transfers of weekends will make it possible to comply with the norm of Article 110 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation that there should be at least 42 hours of continuous rest between two working weeks.

The most anticipated days of the year for any Russian (well, besides his birthday, of course) are national holidays, which allow you to take a break from hard everyday life, and sometimes even take yourself a mini-vacation. How many holidays and weekends will there be in Russia in 2014?

First, let us recall which holidays in Russia are considered official days off. First of all, these are the New Year holidays and Christmas - from January 1 to 8.

Then Defender of the Fatherland Day - February 23 and International Women's Day - March 8. May 1 is the Spring and Labor Festival, May 9 is Victory Day.

We celebrate Russia Day on June 12, and National Unity Day on November 4. Now let’s talk in more detail about how long we will rest on the occasion of these holidays.

New Year 2014

The longest official holiday for adults is coming very soon. This time, Krasnoyarsk residents, like residents of other regions of Russia, will rest for eight days - from January 1 to January 8. Tuesday, December 31, 2013 will be a shortened day, and the first working day in 2014 will be Thursday, January 9. As previously reported, “for the purpose of rational use by employees of weekends and non-working holidays,” the weekends of January 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday), coinciding with non-working holidays, are transferred on May 2 and June 13, respectively.

Let us remind you that the last New Year holidays lasted 10 days.

Men's and Women's Day

In 2014, February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day- we will celebrate on Sunday, thanks to which everyone is provided with an extra day of rest - it will be provided on November 3. In March There will be no postponements, but women are much luckier - the weekend will be three whole days - from March 8 (Saturday) to March 10 (Monday).

May holidays

Rejoice, people! In May 2014, we are looking forward to two short weeks in a row! From May 1 to May 4 (as you remember, May 2 became a day off thanks to the January Saturday), days off are provided due to Spring and Labor Festival, so there will be only three working days in a week. And next week on Friday the whole country will celebrate Victory Day - we will rest for three days, until Monday.

Summer and November holidays

Public holidays this year will also bring a lot of joy. In the summer we will have Russia Day, which will give us four days off at once - from June 12 to 15 inclusive, and in the fall - National Unity Day, and four more days off - from November 1 to 4.

Please note that in 2014, not a single regular weekend will be affected by the postponement of holidays. You can devote all Saturdays and all Sundays to yourself and your loved ones.

In 2014, there are 247 working days in Russia (of which 6 are shortened) and 118 days off.

- Rules for transferring days off: The Labor Code of the Russian Federation establishes 14 non-working holidays per year - these are January 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 - general New Year holidays, January 7 - Christmas, February 23 - Defender of the Fatherland Day, March 8 - International Women's Day , May 1 - Spring and Labor Day, May 9 - Victory Day, June 12 - Russia Day and November 4 - National Unity Day.
If a non-working holiday coincides with a day off, the day off is transferred to the next working day after the holiday. The scheme for transferring weekends for 2014 is shown in the calendar - transfers are indicated by translucent arrows. This year there are not so many such postponements - a total of 3 weekends have been postponed:
light blue arrow - from January 4 (Saturday) to May 2 (Friday);
light purple - from January 5 (Sunday) to June 13 (Friday);
light red - from February 24 (Monday) to November 3 (Monday)

- About shortened working days: Working hours, usually directly preceding a non-working holiday, is reduced by 1 hour. This year an unusual situation has arisen: on February 24, the shortened working day comes after the holiday! The fact is that the day off was moved from this date, just to the short pre-holiday day (November 3) and according to the transfer rules established in Government Decrees, this day has the same working hours as the day it is replacing, i.e. shorter by 1 hour. (We believe that understanding managers will postpone the start of the working day for this hour... :)
