Video: what to do at home when bored?

Are you faced with unrelenting boredom, from which you can just fall into depression? Do not know what to do and how to help yourself to shake things up, to interest yourself in something within the walls of your home? Then you have come to the right place. Here you can learn how to pass your time at home.

Nothing to do at home, what to do?

What to do when there is nothing to do at home? Yes, the question will seem strange to many, because this time is so sorely lacking. And here - there is nothing to do. Well, if there is nothing, you suffer from boredom, not knowing what to do with yourself, then read this article. Perhaps you will find something suitable for getting rid of boredom.

You must take into account the fact that constant boredom can lead to prolonged depression, so we are here to help you. We will try to help brighten up the boring time within the walls of the house.

First think about important things and life. Spend your time on useful things. Everything is very simple here. Do something that should have been done a long time ago. Don't want to be bored? Turn on your favorite music and go - cleaning is waiting for you. There is such a psychological moment here - the main thing is to start. Check:

  1. turn on the music, the one that inspires you, cheers you up,
  2. think about how you create comfort in your apartment,
  3. act.

You can clean the windows, clean the rooms, dust (if you are a man then check the plumbing, fix something...). Or you can make a change. For many people, reshuffling is an excellent antidepressant that will not only help to cope with boredom, but will also lift your spirits, help you feel the taste for life (the desire to change something in it).

If everything in your apartment is clean and comfortable, you have already rearranged the furniture, plumbing and everything else is in order, and you have a lot of free time that needs to be “filled”? Maybe something does not suit you in the layout of the house, in the color of the wallpaper .... Make repairs. Repair is not needed, are you satisfied? Then, on the question of what to do when there is nothing to do at home, there is a lot of advice. Do any of the following:

Think about what you would like to do. To do this, write down all your desires on something. Have you written? Now read. Well, there was a desire to do something from this list now? Then go ahead. So you yourself have found for yourself how to brighten up leisure within the walls of your own apartment. And so, point by point, do what you want.

If you are not inspired by what is written, then try something from what is said below.

Banal things

  • Listen to music. Music should be “to match” your mood: lyrical, classical, love…. Here, rely solely on your emotions.
  • Read an exciting book. It all depends on your preferences. Choose the genre of the book that interests you personally. Although you can try something new - you might be interested.
  • To watch a movie, but rather an interesting series. You look - and the evening has already come. Focus on what you would like to see: love, action, comedy, animal movies ... Sometimes, experiencing as one of the movie characters (imagining yourself in someone else's role) is very useful. The main thing is a good ending to the movie, if you see the word "drama", then this is not what you need. And then, strongly impressed, you can become depressed.
  • Engage in family albums and videos. Remember the most important moments in your life, laugh at the funniest moments. Look into your own past.
  • Look out the window, thinking about your life. Philosophize - it's quite exciting if you have such a mood.
  • Write poetry, draw a portrait, make origami.... Do something that you are passionate about.
  • Sit down at the computer: play something, chat on skype or social networks. Also in the computer (online) you can see a lot of interesting and funny things, read the news, yellow press.

educate yourself

Have you not paid attention to the fact that students do not have questions about free time (when there is nothing to do)? So become a student, take the ESHKO courses. Just go to the library and pick up some educational literature there. Maybe you have long wanted to know about the structure of some invention, about space, or about the stars? Study, replenish your knowledge, this will not only reduce (or even completely absorb) your free, but will also bring a lot of benefits.

Go in for sports

This is not only beneficial for the figure, but also for health. It doesn't have to be strenuous exercise. Just go in for fitness, pull your muscles…. Do exercises that bring you satisfaction. It can be:

  • yoga classes,
  • pilates classes,
  • dancing…

Make time for your beauty

Relax in the bathtub. Fill the bathroom with fragrances (you can sprinkle your favorite perfume, you can use special candles). Make a lot of foam, feel like a queen, dream. After taking a bath, take care of your body. First, rub the body with some cream or oil. Get a manicure and pedicure, pluck your eyebrows. In general, do everything you need for your beauty. Believe me, having done all this, you will have a great mood.

A party can help.

Invite your closest friends, arrange a holiday. Boredom will have no place in your soul when you are surrounded by dear people.

start calling

You can drink some alcohol and “sit down” on the phone. Call everyone you want. Talk about what "hurt", throw out your emotions. Just do not overdo it, as you can "run into" rudeness. Everything should be in moderation: both alcohol and the “disclosure” of the soul.

If you have children, take care of them

Think

Sit down and think, why did such a question arise about what to do when there is nothing to do at home? Who do you live with, are you married, do you have children. What is the reason for this question. Usually such topics are an occasion to think that something is missing in your life. Assess your life from the outside. Look at yourself as if you are looking at another person. What's wrong? What makes you feel sad?

  • If you live alone (alone). So, for starters, get an animal. Then a man.
  • If you are married (married), you may not have enough of his (her) attention. Pick up the phone and tell him (her) about it. Arrange a romantic dinner, reminding him (her) that love is it - that's it!
  • Maybe you don't have children? Work on it more often. Does not work? Be patient, especially since the process of creating children is quite pleasant.

Have you figured out yourself, the reasons are not all about you? Then call a friend for help.

What to do at home when there is nothing to do with a friend?

Guy with girlfriend.

Despite the prevailing opinion that there is no friendship between a woman and a man, it still exists. In any case, this is not the topic in question. So what do friends of the opposite sex do:

  1. First of all, just have lunch together, have tea with cake. To do this, jointly prepare this dinner, and goodies for tea. Show your culinary skills - it will captivate you and you will forget about boredom.
  2. Watch a movie together
  3. Listen to the music
  4. Talk heart to heart
  5. Surf the Internet.
  6. Play board games

Girl with a friend.

Usually, girls do not have questions about what to do with a girlfriend. Because they always have something to do.

  1. Just to chat about this and that (gossip). There are so many topics for women to talk about that you get tired of listing them. They will always find topics for conversation.
  2. Have a snack together, drink tea, or something stronger.
  3. Watch a movie
  4. Listen to the music
  5. "Travel" through the pages of the Internet,
  6. You can get creative
  7. You can do something useful by chatting with your girlfriend. For example, iron your clothes, sew up your clothes…

With a friend, any work is done faster. Because everything happens in communication.

If you yourself know what to do in your free time, but you have children who ask this question, then read on.

What to do at home when there is nothing for the child to do?

Children, if there is nothing to do, then you can find a lot of interesting and useful things. The first thing you need to pay attention to is the children's room and the order in it. Let him clean his room. Doesn't want to? encourage his efforts. Promise him a game, watching a cartoon or a fairy tale .... The main thing is the desire of the child to get something. Interest can do this. For him to clean his room.

If there is order in the children's room, then you can offer your child such entertainment:

When you have free time, offer to spend time together. Children enjoy spending time with their parents.

  • Turn on fantasy, focusing on the age and capabilities of your child.
  • You can play board games.
  • You can come up with some new way to make crafts, or use an old one.
  • You can just read him a fairy tale.
  • Cook together something for dinner, surprise "your" dad.

There are a lot of options here. You can even ask a child, he will always find the answer to this question (what to do?).

Invite him to play educational games:

  • Puzzle,
  • constructors,
  • computer educational games,
  • lego…

Can you offer him computer game. At the same time, limit it in time, since looking at the monitor for a long time is not very useful.

The child can be carried away watching fairy tales, cartoons, educational programs.

Also, you can offer your child, help you around the house. For example, you wash the dishes - he wipes; You vacuum - he cleans the floor, you water the flowers - he brings water...

There are a lot of options for the child to take his free time. What depends on you is to give him the opportunity not only to play, but also to spend time with benefit. That is:

  • if he plays, then the game should be educational,
  • if he draws, then let them be good drawings,
  • if he watches movies (cartoons), then let there be "smart" content.

After reading this article, you probably realized that free time can always be filled in full. There is no difference in who you spend your free time with: alone, with a friend, or with a telephone receiver. The main thing is that the pastime brings you satisfaction, benefit from what you have done.

If you are going to spend a week with your cousin or sister, then you should try not to get bored. Do they come to you from another city or just want to spend a free week together? Make an action plan ahead of time so you have time to prepare. Choose affordable entertainment, and also think about what you can do without leaving your home. Travel and walks are tiring, so think about every little thing.

Steps

Part 1

Plan ahead

Set aside a room for a cousin or sister. Make sure that relatives have somewhere to stay in your city. Prepare a room or bed if they will be staying at your home.

Choose restaurants and cafes nearby. Gala dinners in restaurants are the most anticipated part of the program. If a relative has a free week, then there is nothing better than visiting the best places in your city. Make a list of suitable restaurants and cafes.

Make a checklist. Despite the formality, your list will help you remember all the details. If the relative comes from another area, then the list should take into account all the needs.

Ask a cousin or sister what they would like to do. Do not forget to take into account other people's interests. We are all in a hurry to show our relatives our favorite places, but it is important to remember the preferences of the guests.

    • Be sure to ask a relative to call you or write an e-mail to discuss joint plans. If you communicate closely, then you probably know about all the interests and hobbies, but a direct question never hurts.
    • If you live in a big city, then relatives may already have certain plans for the week. It is better to find out about them in advance in order to correctly coordinate all events. For example, you live in St. Petersburg, and a relative wants to visit the Hermitage. You can buy tickets in advance or choose a day when there are a little less tourists than usual.
    • Consider the personal preferences of a brother or sister. If a relative is crazy about animals, then find out the opening hours of local zoos.
  1. Take into account age. If a brother or sister is still a child, then you should keep this in mind when you think about entertainment. The interests of adults and children differ significantly.

    • A very young child may need a nightlight or other item to help them sleep comfortably. You can also buy some toys. Go to the children's section of the nearest supermarket. All toys usually indicate the age for which they are intended.
    • Plan activities with the little ones in mind. Find out about activities in local parks and children's shows. If you are studying or working, then find a nanny who will look after a small relative.
    • If a cousin or sister is already a teenager, then everything is much simpler. Children at this age are already quite independent. They can be left at home alone. At the same time, it is important to remember about the age when you plan entertainment. For example, it is obvious that you cannot go to a bar with them. Choose fun activities for teenagers. Perhaps the district house of culture hosts dance evenings or concerts for middle and high school students.

    Part 2

    Walks and activities
    1. Visit local parks. Many cities have beautiful parks. Walking in the park is good for health and does not require special financial costs. In some parks you can find free or inexpensive rides. Check the city's event flyer to find out the opening hours of attractions or amusement parks.

Museums and art galleries. Almost every city has museums and exhibitions. Experience the local culture with visiting relatives.

      • Remember that all people are different. Consider the personal interests of a relative. If you live in Moscow and your cousin is crazy about art, then she will surely like the State Tretyakov Gallery. If she likes history more, then it is better to visit the State Historical Museum.
      • If you are short on funds, then choose simpler museums. Some exhibitions are completely free. In addition, on the sites you can participate in the drawing of tickets.
    2. Performances and concerts. With a relative who is interested in music or theater, you can attend concerts and performances. In a small town, you can watch school theater performances for a symbolic price. Big cities always have one or more theaters. Music concerts are held everywhere.

Cafes and restaurants. In such establishments, you can chat a lot and introduce relatives to the local cuisine. Be sure to visit the most noteworthy establishments with your brother or sister.

Adjust your current plans. Be sure to consider the arrival of guests when making your plans. You can always introduce a cousin or sister to friends so that they do not have to be bored at home.

      • Perhaps you attend regular events. For example, competitions and quizzes in your favorite cafe on Tuesdays. Invite a relative to come with you.
      • If you are invited to a party or meeting, take a relative with you.
      • Let the organizer know in advance that you won't be alone. It also does not hurt to get the opinion of a relative on this matter. If he does not like quizzes or bars, then one event can be skipped.
    3. Show me all the interesting establishments. Show your cousin or sister the places you like to go. If you have a favorite coffee shop, then go for a cup of coffee. If a large bookstore has opened nearby, then explore the new assortment.

      • Gather the necessary information in advance if you live in a big city. Your favorite restaurant can be crowded on the weekends, so it's best to dine there on a weekday.
      • Allow a relative to command a little. When wanting to show the city, it is important to make sure that the person is interested. For example, if he does not like contemporary art, then give up the idea of visiting a new exhibition.
    4. Be mindful of age. If your relative is still a child, you should not forget about it. For example, you will not be able to go to a bar with him if he is under 18 years old, or to a serious performance if he is in elementary school. Plans must be age appropriate.

      • For a primary school student, you should choose entertainment designed specifically for children. Pay attention to theaters for young spectators, circuses, amusement parks, zoos and similar establishments. You can also invite friends who are crazy about children.
      • If the relative is already a high school student, then you can choose mixed attractions. For example, a 14-year-old may be addicted to classical plays but still hesitate to try new foods. Find the golden mean between entertainment for children and adults. Go to a symphony concert and then grab a bite to eat at McDonald's.

    Part 3

    Things to do at home
    1. Stay yourself. If a relative is staying with you, you don't have to go out of your way to impress. Be yourself. If you feel comfortable, then your relative will not be bored.

    2. Buy provisions. If you stay at home, then buy food. Love baking? Prepare your favorite cookies before your guests arrive. You can also cook main dishes, because dining only in restaurants is expensive. Try to cook something together.

      • You can have a themed dinner. For example, only Italian dishes. Prepare lasagna, Mediterranean salad and garlic bread. If the age of a sister or brother allows, then buy good wine.
      • If you grew up together, then find goodies from your childhood. Perhaps you really liked certain candies or chips. Such care will pleasantly surprise the guest.
    3. Invite friends. If there are no empty seats in the restaurant or prices bite, then you can spend the evening at home. Invite close friends over. Buy drinks and snacks. Such an inexpensive evening can be remembered more than a dinner in a chic establishment.

Think of entertainment options. In a friendly and comfortable house, there is always something to entertain guests. On those evenings when you are not going anywhere, you need to take care of entertainment.

      • If you have a TV, you can watch movies or play games. Today, films can be bought not only in conventional stores, but also online. Choose films that you and your guests will enjoy.
      • Share your favorite memories. Start a conversation with the words "Do you remember when we were with you ..." and tell a memorable story.
      • Learn about the personal and social life of a cousin or sister. Perhaps your guest will tell you an interesting incident that happened at work.
      • Talk about other relatives. Ask how your aunt and uncle are doing. Tell about your parents.
      • During the conversation, try not to be distracted. Music and TV are useless now.
    4. Entertainment for younger relatives. If your brother or sister is much younger, then make sure that they are not bored at home. Surely they are not particularly interested in talking about the family or adult affairs.

      • Choose the right movies, series and books. Cable television always has a number of children's channels. Your friends who have children can recommend a good cartoon. For children and teenagers, many entertainment magazines and educational literature are sold today. These books will not get lost in your library.
      • For the little ones, you can buy coloring books, colored pencils, felt-tip pens and other materials for children's creativity.
      • Find out what kind of music your guests like and create a playlist of the right songs.
